1 – add tree trunks to dark blue band using paynes gray
2 – add highlights to tree trunks
3 – add more definition to tree trunks
4 – add ‘flowers’ to trees

Today I added details to the dark blue band by adding purple-hued tree trunks and branches to coincide and align with the purple tree sections that surround the entire square center.
Trees and roots play quite prominently in this mandala. It reminds us of our whole human existence, ever growing and expanding outward and inward, with new thoughts and ideas blossoming along the way.
This mandala is the focus for the Mandala of the Year as of July 1, 2017.

As part of my own spiritual journey, I encourage, and hopefully inspire, others to explore their own creativity, to help them re-connect with their own inner peace and joy. As a means to that end, I make all of my mandalas available for people to color. Why should I have all the fun?
