My coloring progress for today:
[Select an image for a larger view]
1 – add marigold w/gold iridescent paint
2 – add hansa yellow w/gold iridescent paint
3 – add cobalt turquoise w/gold iridescent paint
4 – add alizarin crimson w/gold iridescent paint
Night Crawlers Mandala – update 2: 5 – add manganese blue
Night Crawlers Mandala – update 2: 6 – add transparent viridian hue
7 – add ultramarine violet
8 – add iridescent gold over blue, green, and purple sections
9 – full view of progress w/mandala temp. in place
Today I filled in the Night Crawlers drawn out on the wood panel, doing my best to match the colors, at least around the edge of the mandala. Putting a iridescent gold over the colors, helps to tone the color intensity a bit, making them look more like they’re roaming around in the background.
Still keep getting the message about “mining for gold”. 🙂
Read about Night Crawlers via this week’s Mandala of the Week #30.
About the Mandalas of the Day:
I post a variety of in-progress art for that day which can include mandalas from the Mandala of the Week, the Mandala of the Month, the Mandala of the Year, or the Mandala Meditation Stones.
Happy Coloring!

My Mission: connecting with our Inner Light in delightful, inspiring ways
For me, creating mandalas is more than just coloring pretty patterns in a circle. I do it because my spiritual evolution and creativity require it of me. My mandala designs come about within an active meditative state, connected with my higher self, my spiritual guides and nature spirits.
Together, we bring into form, mandala art the allows me to re-connect with my own inner peace and joy, letting me explore and expand my own creative spirit to however far and in whatever direction I want to take it.
As part of my own spiritual journey, I encourage, and hopefully inspire, others to explore their own creativity, to help them re-connect with their own inner peace and joy. As a means to that end, I make all of my mandalas available for people to color. Why should I have all the fun?
