Today’s Mandala Message: Let It Go
This week I’m working through Principle #29 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Complete your Past to Embrace the Future”. I set my intention today to ponder the idea of letting “it” go…the “it” being anything that’s holding me back, anything that needs forgiving, anything that has stopped serving me. It feels like a monumental task…possibly even a life-long one. But as my Guides and Angels always tell me…”You have all the time you need, even if it takes a couple of lifetimes to do it.”
Interestingly enough, while I haven’t done a whole lot of processing forgiveness in the literal sense, it dawned on me today, that all this week I’ve been doing a ton of yard work: pruning trees and plants, clearing weeds from neglected areas around our yard, and tossing out the debris.
There’s more to be done, but already I’m seeing huge improvements in our yard, it’s more open and I feel like the yard can breathe better. So it would appear, that metaphorically, I have been “letting go” all week. It’s given me a sense of what it could feel like for me when I let go of (forgive) whatever it is that is keeping me from my full potential: more open and able to breathe better.
A good mindfulness practice would be to do some yard work.
So how about you? If you were to think of your life as your yard, what areas could use some weeding and/or pruning?
“The truth is,
— Steve Maraboli
unless you let go,
unless you forgive yourself,
unless you forgive the situation,
unless you realize
that the situation is over,
you can’t move forward.”
Blessings,
