Today’s Mandala Message: Be Willing to Commit 100%
This week I’m working through Principle #35 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “99% is a Bitch; 100% is a Breeze”. I set my intention today to ponder if I’m willing to commit 100% to my goals. Canfield states: “Whether your discipline is to read for an hour, practice the piano 5 days a week, make two sales calls every day, learn a new language, practice typing, …—or whatever else you need to do to achieve your goals—commit 100% to those daily disciplines that will get you there.”
Currently I have several disciplines that commit to doing every day. They are: the mandala of the day, walk 2 miles, practice piano, do a french lesson from one of my french workbooks, do 2 15-minute Duolingo (French) sessions (am & pm), practice calligraphy, and then do a set of brain builders (NYT games, Elevate, Duolingo math). Of all of these, only the mandala of the day and duolingo french am I 100% committed to doing daily. The rest rate from 95%-99%. And when I do skip any of these others, I tend to “beat myself up” about it…but only for a moment and then I move on.
What’s disappointing to me as I write this, is the realization that I have several mandala-related projects (some of them are huge deals), related services, and managing my business that I have designated as my goals, and yet I fail to work on any of them on a daily basis. Doing today’s MotD and going through this week’s principle, is very much a wake-up call for me to GOMA and re-think my priorities.
I feel inspired to share a cartoon my brother created. Maybe it will be an inspiration for you as well.

A good mindfulness practice would be to ponder: are you willing to commit 100% to your goal(s).
So how about you? Are you willing to commit 100%? Do you have daily disciplines set up to help you get where you want to go? Are you able to commit to them 100%?
