Today’s Mandala Message: Commit to Lifelong Learning
This week I’m working through Principles #36 and #37 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Learn More Earn More” and “Stay Motivated with the Masters”. I set my intention today to ponder the idea of being a lifelong learner. Canfield states: “Realize that the amount of knowledge and information available in the world is growing at a mind-numbing pace.” He encourages us to commit “…to lifelong self-improvement and learning—improving your mind, increasing your skills, and boosting your ability to assimilate and apply what you learn.”
This is an easy one for me. I vowed years ago, when I was in a bit of a slump, that I intend to learn new things until my last breath. It’s what sparks my joy!
A good mindfulness practice would be to ponder being a lifelong learner.
So what about you? Do you continue to learn new things? Are you open to learning new things? Are you open to expanding on what you’ve already learned?
“There is no end to education.
— Jiddu Krishnamurti
It is not that you read a book,
pass an examination,
and finish with education.
The whole of life,
from the moment you are born
to the moment you die,
is a process of learning.”
Blessings,
