Today’s Mandala Message: Be Enthusiastic

This week I’m working through Principle #38 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Fuel Your Success with Passion and Enthusiasm”. I set my intention today to ponder my enthusiasm towards my goals. Canfield shares: “The word enthusiasm comes from the Greek word ‘entheos’, which means ‘to be filled with God’. When you are filled with spirit, you are naturally inspired and passionate.

I tend to be enthusiastic, especially in the beginning and as I’m nearing the end of a goal/project. My challenge is keeping the enthusiasm going throughout the whole process especially when I seem to be stuck, bored, full of self-doubt, and so on.

I can see where writing out the “why” of my goal and keeping it in a prominent place would help to keep me inspired. Acknowledging wins along the way and having an accountability buddy for support would also be good ways to stay enthused about my goal journey.

A good mindfulness practice would be to allow yourself to be filled with the spirit of your goal.

So what about you? Are you enthusiastic about your goal(s)? How are you “filled with spirit”? What inspires you about your goal(s)?

“I know of no single formula for success.
But over the years I have observed
that some attributes of leadership
are universal and are often about
finding ways of encouraging people
to combine their efforts, their talents,
their insights, their enthusiasm
and their inspiration
to work together.”
