Today’s Mandala Message: Time is a Precious Commodity
This week I’m working through Principle #40 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Redefine Time”. I set my intention today to ponder how, if at all, I manage my time. Canfield states: “As our world gets more complicated and more pressured, you will have to be increasingly more conscious and intentional to structure your time in a way that takes full advantage of your talents and maximizes your results.”
My time these days is unstructured. I do have a morning routine to jumpstart my day. But if for any reason I put it off, the rest of my day seems to falter and I’m more or less doing whatever grabs my attention next, with no rhyme or reason.
Heaven forbid I get onto social media prior to my routine, the day usually becomes messy and unfulfilling. I know it would serve me well to have a bit more structure and to better manage my time. I’m hoping that as we go through this week, I gain (and share) more insight into better managing my time.
A good mindfulness practice would be to ponder how you manage your time.
So how about you? Do you pay attention to how you spend your time? Is there any structure to your day? At the end of the day, do you feel like you successfully or unsuccessfully made best use of your time?
“Have regular hours
— Louisa May Alcott
for work and play;
make each day both
useful and pleasant,
and prove that you understand
the worth of time
by employing it well.
Then youth will be delightful,
old age will bring few regrets,
and life will become
a beautiful success.”
Blessings,
