Today’s Mandala Message: You Don’t Have to Go It Alone
This week I’m working through Principle #46 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Mastermind Your Way to Success”. I set my intention today to ponder working with others instead of always working alone. From MindTools.com about Mastermind groups: “Mastermind Groups are great sounding boards for your ideas. Other members’ perspectives can help you identify opportunities, problems and issues that you might not have thought of yourself. Working with others can help you to generate an entirely different approach or solution to a persistent problem, which brings you closer to your goal.”
While I’ve had little success with finding or starting a mastermind group, I have been fortunate enough in finding a few people who work out well as accountability partners and support. I lean towards wanting to work alone and yet have found it invaluable to have these other people in my life who help me see beyond what I can to see; at the very least they ask great questions. And hopefully they see me as an invaluable accountability partner.
A good mindfulness practice would be to consider finding others to help you along your journey.
So how about you? Do you tend to go it alone? Do you find it difficult to share your goals or ideas with others? Would you consider joining with others who are just as motivated as you are?
“A Mastermind Group
— MindTools.com (article about MM Groups)
is a collection of motivated,
like-minded people
who want to collaborate with others
on a shared objective.
Members benefit
from sharing knowledge,
skills and relationships.”
