Today’s Mandala Message: Develop Your Intuition
This week I’m working through Principle #47 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Inquire Within”. I set my intention today to ponder developing my intuition more. Canfield states: “Intuition is not something relegated to certain people or to psychics. Everyone has it and everyone has experienced it. … The trick is to learn how to tap into it at will to achieve greater levels of success.” Over the next few days we’ll explore ways to develop your intuition.
Over the years I’ve gotten better at recognizing the difference between my ego mind and my intuition. That being said, I don’t always listen to it especially when I allow myself to be more brain-centered than intuition-centered.
Earlier this week when sending a text to a new friend, my intuition told me to make sure I used the correct spelling of her name. By the time I finished writing the text, I totally forgot that thought and sent it. A few minutes later, I received a reply where she graciously let me know that her name is spelled with an “e” at the end. As soon as I saw her text, I realized that I failed to follow through on my intuition. Doh! Thankfully when I told her what had happened, we had a good laugh.
A good mindfulness practice would be to become still and allow your intuition to come in to play.
So how about you? Do you pay attention to your intuition? Are you aware of when you intuition is in play? How do you distinguish between a brain thought versus your intuition?
“The only real valuable thing
— Albert Einstein
is intuition.”
