Today’s Mandala Message: Give Yourself the Time to Listen
This week I’m working through Principle #47 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Inquire Within”. I set my intention today to ponder taking time to listen to my intuition. Canfield states: “It is important to make time to listen to your intuition. Your most valuable intuitive wisdom often comes when you are relaxed and open to receiving it. … When you need help making a decision, take time to pause, take a deep breath, reflect on the question, and allow the intuitive impressions to come to you. Pay attention to any images, words, physical sensations or emotions you experience.”
While I admit that I don’t formally meditate on a regular basis (yet), I do take pauses throughout my day to check in…mainly to let my intuition guide me as to which of my many listed tasks would be best for me to do next. About 20 years ago I learned how to use my body as a pendulum as a tool to access my intuition. I will stop what I’m doing, take a breath or two, and then ask my question. I use it for the mundane as well as the important things. This system has served me well.
A good mindfulness practice would be to take time to breathe and allow your intuition to “speak”.
So how about you? Do you give yourself time to listen to your intuition? Are you open to pausing to let your intuition speak to you? Can you give pause to allow your intuition to guide you?
