Today’s Mandala Message: Take Immediate Action on Your Intuition

This week I’m working through Principle #47 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Inquire Within”. I set my intention today to ponder the next step in accessing my intuition: act immediately (in some form) on the information that I receive. Canfield states: “Pay attention to the answers you receive and act on the information as quickly as possible. When you act on the information you receive, you’ll find that you get more and more intuitive impulses. … As you learn to trust yourself and your intuition more, it will become automatic.”

For the last couple of posts we’ve looked at asking questions of our intuition and writing down the information we received. Today we complete the process by taking immediate action on what we receive. Granted, sometimes the information comes at an inopportune time…in those moments find a way to take some form of action that acknowledges the intent to follow through later. In that situation I will say out loud something like “Ok. I got the message. I can do it this afternoon.” And if for some reason I’m not able, my intuition finds a way to remind me.

About 20 years ago while walking in my neighborhood I saw a dead butterfly on the ground, completely intact. I picked it up with the intent of creating a mandala for it. About six months later, I was hiking by myself at a popular locale called Bald Hill. As I’m coming around this corner I see a butterfly, and then another one, and then another one until I was surrounded by about 20 of them. It dawned on my that I had yet to create the butterfly mandala I promised I would make. While still walking, I said out loud to this kaleidoscope of butterflies: “Ok. Ok. I’ll make the butterfly mandala.” Ten feet later they were all gone. Somewhat freaked out by this, I said to myself: “Ok. Now I’m REALLY going to make that mandala”. And here she is:

A good mindfulness practice would be to do at least one small action with the information you receive from your intuition.

So how about you? Do you tend to put off the information you receive from your intuition? Do you tend to judge it, thinking it may be too difficult or too time consuming? If you can’t act on it now, do you at least write it down with the intent of acting on it later?

“Intuition is a spiritual faculty
and does not explain,
but simply points the way.”
