Today’s Mandala Message: Improve Your Financial Wellness
This week I’m working through Principle #58 “Pay Yourself first” of Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles”. I set my intention today to ponder some more my relationship with money. From an article on First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union entitled ‘5 Financial Wellness Tools to Follow , #5 offers a free money personality assessment tool “to help you better understand your money decisions”.
It determines your 5 types: emotional type, outlook type, focus type, influence type, and a bonus type. As part of the assessment, they tell you the strengths and weaknesses of your types and determines which of their tools and/or courses would help best. Both the tools and courses (which are short) are offered free…as best as I can tell.
So I took the “assessment” and these are my types:
Emotion Type: Apprehensive
Outlook Type: Optimistic
Focus Type: Present Focused
Influence Type: Elusive
Bonus Type: Organized
The predominant recommendation from this assessment was that I use the budget tool and take their ‘creating a budget’ course (which takes about 15 minutes). Am I getting the message?!?!?! Yes, yes I am. After I finish posting this, I’ll do the course and use their budget tool.
A good mindfulness practice would be to asses the state of your financial wellness.
So how about you? What is the level of your financial wellness? How would you assess your relationship to money? Would taking the money personality test be of use to you?
“Managing your finances

is about more than just
your money in the bank.
It involves setting goals,
evaluating choices,
and high stakes!
Like most things in life,
your unique
personality and behaviors
are an important piece.”
