”a place where one feels safe, secure, loved, and accepted”
Today’s value word “Home” inspires us to ponder what defines a home for us. For some, home is a location, for others it may be a feeling based on the environment or the people who are present. It begs the question: Where do you feel at home?
As for a “place”, I am blessed to be living in our lovely little home of 20 years. I definitely feel all those things here. However, I have been remiss in how well I take care of her. I’ll be addressing this more in Mandala of the Week 24-02 blog post (on 1/8/24). I’m also blessed to live in our quaint city for the last 24 years.
As for the “feeling”, I’m at ‘home’ when I’m 1) with people I care about, 2) hugging my dog, 3) walking in our neighborhood, 4) acting (I’m in a community theater play this month), 5) doing ANY kind of mandala art…to name a few.
Do you value the idea of home?
