”a feeling of contented well-being”
Today’s MotD asks us to ponder what in our lives gives us “a feeling of contented well-being”? And if nothing does for you, is that something you’re striving for, does it tend to allude you, or do you prefer it that way?
In some “circles” focusing on comfort is a form of giving up…that if you’re in your comfort zone you’re not striving to improve or expand your horizons. Coaches, teachers, and mentors alike continually encourage us all to push past our comfort zone, to stretch ourselves, to dream big.
I’d like to believe that we can have a feeling of contented well-being while striving to expand and grow. I also believe that from that place of contented well-beingness, we can achieve so much than we think possible…because we’re not being haunted by limiting beliefs.
Maybe what we could strive for is contented well-beingness within a world of uncertainty and expansion, allowing ourselves to go with flow, letting life take us where it wants to go—confident in knowing that it will all work out somehow.
How about you? Do you value comfort?
joyfully,
Maureen

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day
Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
