“calm confidence in a person’s way of behaving”
Today’s MotD inspires us to remain confidently calm regardless of what’s going on around us. When we’re calm it’s easier to assess any situation and confidently know the next thing that needs to be done. When we allow ourselves that kind of presence we are able to rise to the occasion.
The confidence comes from knowing that when we are calm, we are better able to help others. To use the airline’s example, when we remain calm we can quickly put the oxygen mask on ourselves and then confidently help those around us put on theirs.
The key message here is that we can better help others, and ourselves, when we are poised.
