“the quality of being faithful or loyal”
We generally associate fidelity with marriage/relationships, however today it’s more about us being faithful/loyal to ourselves and our dreams/goals…in other words: being true to ourselves.
As someone who is a recovering flaming co-dependent, I can tell you that it’s quite a struggle sometimes for me to be loyal to myself. With decades of being sure everyone else’s needs were met, I’m continually evolving into taking care of my needs as well.
With my art, I struggled with fidelity because I had become more worried about making art that I thought other people would like/buy versus being loyal to the art that was wanting to be created through me. Thankfully, I’m being more conscious and faithful with my art.
