”the quality of being light-hearted, full of fun”

I know this to be another core value for me…and one I could use more of. The thing is, I’m the only one keeping myself from being playful. I used to be more so when I was younger. And I’m not sure getting older had anything to do with having less of it so much as the times we’re in these days make it challenging to be playful.

How can I be playful when so many people in the world are suffering? When I look inward, I know that I too am suffering from long-held hurts. I also take what I do with my Mandalas of the Day/Week/Month/Year very seriously. I want to help people; I want to share the messages I receive from doing them.

So why do I struggle to incorporate playfulness into the process. Is it because if I’m too playful, I (and what I do) won’t be taken seriously? I don’t know. I’ll need to explore this more…and hopefully in a playful way.

How about you? Is playfulness a core value for you?
