24-084 Enthusiasm

Enthusiasm

“a feeling of energetic interest in a particular subject or activity and an eagerness to be involved in it”

Over the years of doing many readings, probably the question I’m asked most is “what’s my purpose?” to which I usually reply: “your purpose is to do whatever makes your heart sing and help people by doing whatever that is.” This definition for enthusiasm perfectly describes that feeling.

Translated to body language, whatever lifts you up…gives you an expansive feeling…that is what makes your heart sing and invokes enthusiasm. If your body feels weighted down, shrunken, smaller…that is something that does NOT make your heart sing.

If you happen to be in a situation where you struggle to be enthusiastic, find a way to create some inner enthusiasm to lift you up. For instance if you work with challenging people, instead of judging them or having animosity towards them, become a neutral observer of them…like a science project. Observe their patterns…for fun, create a backstory about them that would help explain what makes them act the way they do. Who knows…maybe you’ll be inspired to write a novel about these characters (without using their names, of course).

Back to the heart singing thing…what makes my heart sing, what inspires me are mandalas (in every form): designing them, coloring them, painting them. It also makes my heart sing to help people by doing intuitive readings for them. Just yesterday I had the privilege of doing readings for nine people. That moment when the reading “clicks” for them is magical. This year I plan to do more of them, expand my expertise, and expand my audience…and expand that which makes my heart sing.

What makes your heart sing?

So how about you? Is enthusiasm a core value for you?

BTW…here’s what it looked like before…

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day

Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
