Determination
“strong motivation”
I have found that in order to be determined to do something I must have a strong motive behind it. Essentially: what’s the why? Why do I want to __________? Often times I don’t have a why except that I resonate with it and feel compelled to do it.
When I first started hearing The Voice in my head, offering guidance as to what to do, I was hesitant at first but then I would feel the positive energy behind it and would know I had to follow through.
That first bit of guidance changed my life completely. It was when I first “discovered” mandalas and bought three thin mandala coloring books in 1998. As soon as I saw the designs, I just knew that this was the art form I wanted to pursue. However, I quickly became bored with coloring these designs. I thought, maybe this isn’t it. Maybe mandalas are not my thing. That’s when The Voice said: “make your own”. THAT. CHANGED. EVERYTHING.
25 years later, I continue to be enamored with mandalas, exploring and creating every possible variation of them I can. The motivation is still strong, the determination is still there. I’m not totally clear on the “why” of it except to say, that I resonate with The Voice’s guidance and it has yet to steer me wrong…if anything it has positively improved my life in amazing ways.
