24-156 Timeliness

blobby abstract background with colors of red, blue, yellow, orange, pink, and a smidge of green and a spot of white. on top in white ink, an oversized 4 petal mandala that’s larger than the paper size. it’s center is around a small white blob in the background. four outer petals are implied. each petal has a circle in it.

Timeliness

“the quality of happening at the best possible time or at the right time”

In “A Course in Miracles” they talk a lot about time…mostly that it’s an illusion. We humans created a somewhat unified system to keep time…but even with that adjustments need to be make to make it work out right.

For instance this year (2024) is a leap year…meaning we “get” an extra day because technically the Earth’s orbit around the sun is actually 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes, and 46 seconds long, which is slightly longer than the 365 days in our calendar year. Without leap years, the seasons would gradually shift out of sync with the calendar, with summers in the northern hemisphere eventually occurring in December instead of June. That would be interesting, wouldn’t it?

I went to ChatGPT just now to ask it to define time and it came back with an “internal error”. That somehow seems appropriate.

The whole time I’ve been drawing the mandala and writing this post, I keep hearing the same repeated phrase in my head: “All in due time”. Essentially, telling us that most of what we need when it comes to time is patience and trust. Patience…because often times what we’re wanting to create for ourselves requires a lot of “behind the scenes” activity that we don’t see or know about. Trust…because whether we like it or not there is a method to the “madness”…well maybe not madness…it’s more like the “process”.

It’s also trust because even though we may not see the “light at the end of the tunnel”, we’re feeling the pull towards it and the only way to get there is to keep moving forward…trusting your gut/intuition…trusting the process…so that when we DO see the light, we’re ready for it.

And then I’m reminded of a line my Team of Guides and Angels often tell me with regards to time:

You have all the time you need, to do all that you need to do, even if it takes a couple of lifetimes to do it. — Team of Guides and Angels

How about you? Is timeliness a core value for you?

BTW…here’s what it looked like to begin with …

joyfully,

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day

Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
