Being Dynamic

“full of new and exciting ideas”

Often times we think our “brains” create new and exciting ideas, when the reality is that the brain’s job is to help bring new and exciting ideas into form. Most, if not all, inspiration for new ideas comes from the realm of energy…in that, on an energetic level, everything already exists. It becomes our task, in human form, to tap into that realm or at least pay attention to it and then make it happen somehow.

So how do we tap into this realm? Well, one way is through our dreams and the subconscious, which are essentially the same thing. While dreams may not give actually solutions, they can definitely be the inspiration to innovation.

Meditation also provides opportunities for gaining insights into new ideas, along with mind-mapping, brainstorming, journaling, and the like. The key component to making this connection happen is setting an intention for what we want to make happen.

For instance if we’re having a tough time uncovering a solution to a difficult problem, we could set the intention: “I allow myself to receive the solution to (name problem) in an easy, relaxed manner, in a healthy positive way, and for the highest good of all.” (a variation of something Marc Allen shares in his books)

Once we set an intention, then it behooves us to be on the lookout for the inspiration which can show up in a myriad of ways: it could be overhearing something someone says, a scene or line from a movie or tv show that grabs our attention, a dream about the problem/solution, it could be from something we read, or we just “happen” to meet the very someone who knows about this very thing, and so on.

The final component then becomes follow-through…ie acting on these ideas in some form, which could be something as simple as writing them down as they come to us or dictating them into whatever electronic device we may have with us. I keep a small notebook with me at all times for that very purpose. I prefer paper to capture the ideas and then add them to a device app later.

The key to being dynamic is being open and present, allowing the ideas to flow, and then doing some form of follow-through…basically to let the Universe know that “yes, I got it. I’m on it”.

How about you? Is being dynamic a core value for you?

BTW…here’s what it looked like to begin with …

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day

Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
