Boldness

“the willingness to take risks and act innovatively with confidence and courage”

Do you dare to boldly go where you’ve never gone before? Are you willing to boldly go where you’ve never gone before? Can you at least consider it? Because that’s basically today’s message.

The confidence and courage that it takes to do so comes from reflecting on how far we’ve come over the years. We’ve made it through all of our decisions, bold and otherwise. Yes, sometimes it worked out differently than anticipated and yet we’re still here…and hopefully the wiser. Really, all it takes is knowing we can handle it … whatever “it” is.

Many, if not all, of our advancements have taken some degree of boldness to make them happen: taking our very first baby step, our very first day of school, the first time riding a bike, the first time driving a vehicle, the first day on a new job, and so on. Are we seeing the pattern here: it’s always the “first” time.

Essentially, we’ve done it before we can do it again. And if we have to, we can take bold baby steps with what we’re wanting to make happen.
