Passion

“a strong devotion to some activity, object, or concept”

If you have yet to figure it out…I’m passionate about mandalas…and I’m not sure why. I just know that for years, starting in my youth, I loved doing all kinds of arts and crafts, trying new things, testing new theories, and so on…but never really settled into one “thing”. I didn’t realize it yet, but I was an artist without a subject.

And then one day, I walked into a New Age store and saw this new-to-me thing: a mandala coloring book. What’s a mandala? I opened the book and as soon as I saw the designs, I gasped, I could feel my eyes pop out of my head (like the cartoons), my whole body felt completely uplifted. This was it…this IS it!

That was 25 years ago and it’s still my passion. Again, I still don’t know why, it’s not a logical thing…it’s more of an intuitive thing…and actually, I don’t think I really need to know why. All I do know is that I have to do all things mandala. It’s the driving force of my being-ness.

How about you? Is passion a core value for you?

BTW…here’s what it looked like to begin with …

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day

Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
