Being Famous
“being known far and wide”
The idea of being famous is a neutral concept…it’s neither good nor bad. What makes it positive or negative is the intention behind it…which come to think of it, is probably true about most things. What also makes it positive or negative is why we’re famous…what did we do…did we do something that was seen as positive…or did we do something that was seen as negative?
Let’s take the first one…the intention behind it. Are we wanting to be famous because we’ll be loved and adored by the public, receive lots of free stuff, get special treatment by a lot of people, get to meet other more famous people, get to do things that only famous people get to do, and so on? That’s coming from an ego place…which is neither good nor bad…it’s just good to know that it’s our ego that’s craving this type of attention…and may be worth a deeper dive into why that’s so.
Are we wanting to be famous because we have something important we want to share, that we want to be in a position to help more people than we would be able to if we weren’t famous, that we want to make a positive difference in the world on a broader scale, and so on? That’s coming from our authentic self…which here too is neither good nor bad…just good to know.
Let’s look at the second one…the why we are famous. Do we want to be famous for the great things that we do or for the not-so-great things we do. In other words: famous or infamous? This is also worth further exploration as to the motivation behind the desire.
How about you? Is being famous a core value for you?
BTW…here’s what it looked like to begin with …

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day
Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
