Happiness
“feeling pleasure often related to the immediate environment or current circumstances”
When I think of happiness I think of this book I read about Aristotle and how he was determined to find out why are we here. He explored a variety of options but nothing seem to fit until he came upon this: Our purpose in life was the pursuit of happiness…whatever that is for each of us…meaning my pursuit of it will most like be different than yours. His only caveat for this purpose is: my pursuit of happiness must not inhibit anyone else’s pursuit of happiness. Essentially, another variation on the golden rule.
Today’s MotD begs the question: what makes you happy? what makes me happy? Our mission, should we decide to accept it, is to pay attention, become aware, of that which makes us happy. Be mindful in this quest. Chances are, it may be more than one thing. As we uncover them, make note of them, and then create more of whatever that is.
Because, my dear friends, being happy is contagious. The vibration of happiness is an energy force that expands, uplifts, and enlivens any and all around us. So…strive for more happiness…even in the most dire of circumstances.
And if you’re struggling with where to start…try laughter yoga…it starts at 1:29 seconds.
How about you? Is happiness a core value for you?
BTW…here’s what it looked like to begin with …

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day
Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
