Order
“a straightening out so as to eliminate confusion”
I find that when things are in some form of order, it’s much easier for me to find things and along with being a major time saver. As a simple example…Just this morning I was working on a list of 200 French verbs that ChatGPT gave me a while ago. It put them in order by most to least used to help me know which verbs to learn first. We’ll call this list A.
Today I was working from a different source for verbs with the intent of adding to my A list only those that weren’t already there. We’ll call this list B. The process would have gone a whole lot faster if I had just put list A in alphabetical order because with each list B verb, I had to scan the entirety of list A to see if it was already there.
The whole time I’m telling myself…this would be so much easier if list A was in alpha order…but another part of me didn’t want to go through the time and effort to sort them…so I opted to suffer through it, while my “order” part and “out of order” part battled out inside my head.
As another example: I’m also in the middle of slowly and steadily decluttering my home…because I can no longer deal with the angst of the clutter chaos. As each small area is cleared, I feel more and more joyful. It lightens my heart to see a cleared away floor or table top. It’s becoming easier to find things…especially those things that I totally forgot I had!
I call my declutter process: OITH (order in the house).
How about you? Is order a core value for you?
BTW…here’s what it looked like to begin with …

joyfully,

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day
Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
