Glamorousness
“the quality of being appealing in an exciting and fascinating way”
This is one of those words that’s subjective. Some people might find this mandala appealing, others may find it a bit too busy. Because of the metallic ink that was used, it changes in its appearance depending on how the light does or does not reflect off of it.
It’s interesting how the definition leaves it indeterminable as to whether this refers to a person, object, or place. So it could apply to something as mundane as a dinner plate or as luxurious as the Palace at Versailles or as popular as someone like Taylor Swift.
It occurs to me as I write this, what about me? Do I want to be exciting and/or fascinating? I do like to dress-up once in a while…you know, look glamorous. Whether others find my fashion sense glamorous or not is up for debate…but for me I do FEEL glamorous.
As for my art, I hope that people find it fascinating…I’m not sure “exciting” would necessarily apply to mandalas…but I have seen and experienced some that have taken my breath away.
In essence, it comes down to the word “appealing” and how we each define it. What comes to mind for example are the wedding gowns of Princess Diana and Princess Kate. Two completely different gowns from two completely different eras (30 years apart). To some, Diana’s gown may seem more glamorous, while to others, Kate’s seems more glamorous. It’s truly in the eye of the beholder…and to whom we are aiming to appeal and why.
How about you? Is glamorousness a core value for you?
BTW…here’s what it looked like to begin with …

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day
Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
