Dualism
“the belief that things are divided into two often very different or opposing parts”
Let’s face it…one of the rules of the game with being in human form on this planet is reality of dualism: light/dark, night/day, up/down, right/left, masculine/feminine, logic/creativity, apples/oranges, cats/dogs, rain/sunshine, wet/dry, black/white, good/bad, young/old, birth/death, and so on. I know the definition uses the term “belief”, but as far as I’m concerned, it needs to be changed to “acceptance”…the acceptance that the natural order of things is the fact of opposing parts.
Our challenge becomes creating a healthy balance, some give/take, in order to peacefully co-exist…and from this place, we can all, individually and collectively, grow and expand into higher potentials of ourselves. Who wouldn’t want that?
Until we accept that this is the way things are here, we’ll continue to be in a state of constant resistance. Who wants that? Along with acceptance, we also need a huge dose of being open and willing to find common ground with a dash of empathy and a lot of humor…all for the greater good, where we can co-exist together as one without sacrificing our individuality.
How about you? Is dualism a core value for you?
BTW…here’s what it looked like to begin with …

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day
Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
