Caring

“the practice of looking after those unable to care for themselves”

The word “caring” has a broader meaning than what’s presented here; however, for today we’re focusing on this meaning. We are being encouraged, when we can, to take care of others who have trouble doing so for themselves…while also making sure that we’re taking care of ourselves…so that we can continue to be of service.

Now this can play out in a wide range of ways. It could anything from providing full-time caregiving for un-abled person to opening a window so that a fly can escape. It could be something that’s long term or something that takes a moment to do.

The point is to, everyone once in while, look beyond ourselves to notice when and where we can care for someone else in some way. Why? Number one…it’s nurturing for the other person and hopefully making their lives easier…and number two…in the process, it can do wonders for our heart and soul.

How about you? Is caring a core value for you?

BTW…here’s what it looked like to begin with …

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day

Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
