Influence
“the capacity to change or affect someone or something”
The big thing these days is to be an online influencer…to be someone who has so many followers that anything they say or do, influences their followers to follow suit. In some cases, some influencers are more famous and more powerful than traditional famous people (actors, politicians, writers, etc).
They do it mostly by just being themselves, doing what they love to do or what they feel empowered to do, and usually from their homes or by being out and about. There are no offices, no org charts, nor 9-5 structures…it’s all very fluid, in the moment, as the spirit moves them.
As someone who has come up through the traditional systems, I find it fascinating and mind-boggling. And yes, I do follow a handful or two of influencers.
Ok…this is not where I thought today’s’ post was going to go…and yet here we are. I admit, without realizing it, I’m a wannabe influencer…with the intention of sharing my mandalas and their messages. For instance, a trimmed down version of this post will go on IG, FB, Threads, and Cara after I post this. I’ll also put it on BlueSky eventually (I’ve been slow to post there on a regular basis).
So here’s the meat of today’s post: yes, it’s cool to be able to influence people and/or things…the challenge here is to answer the question: in what way are we influencing? For worse or for better?
With Pluto now transitting Aquarius for the next 20 years, we are encouraged to affect change for “the greater good”, as in…how best can we (individually, collectively) make this place (home, neighborhood, town, county, province, state, country, continent, planet) a better place?
How about you? Is being an influence a core value for you?
BTW…here’s what it looked like to begin with …

joyfully,

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day
Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
