Tenderness
“the quality of being gentle, loving, and/or kind”
This is another of those words where, yes, it behooves us (now more than ever) to extend tenderness to others AND at the same time extend it to ourselves…especially this time of year. Tis the season for joy, merriment, and celebration and at the same time it can be the season for added stress, anxiety, and overwhelm.
We’re encouraged to show a little tenderness with some (or a lot of) self care…however that translates for you…maybe take a time-out to determine what things REALLY need to be done and what can be delegated or let go of completely? What would truly help to make this season merry and bright? For me, I feel joyful keeping things simple…thankfully, my husband feels the same way.
We might also consider extending said tenderness into 2025…how are we already a quarter of the way into this century??? didn’t we just celebrate the year 2000???
Let’s start thinking about some little (and big) ways we can show some love, gentleness, and kindness towards ourselves. And then we can do the same towards others.
How about you? Is tenderness a core value for you?
BTW…here’s what it looked like to begin with …

joyfully,
Maureen

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day
Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
