In the foreground is what gives the impression of a dormant volcano with different shapes within coming together to form a new structure.

Organize

“to form into a coherent unity or function whole”

Over the last couple of weeks, including this one week, I’ve been attending all sorts of business-related webinars: marketing, marketing plans, know your market, social media, business plans, how to make the most of your web site, creating systems not goals, creating goals for success, and so on. It has left me so overwhelmed that I’m all over the place with what to do next.

This would be a great time to bring all of that info together so as to organize it into a cohesive pile so I can pick and choose that which resonates most with me and my business. I suspect most of what I’ve garnered will probably be tossed because either these systems are too complicated, too time-consuming, and too highly structured for this creative soul.

That being said, in just about every session, the well-intentioned presenters had these nuggets of wisdom…usually, a posed question…that resonated with me…such that the answer would help be greatly in organizing myself, my art, and my business.

Mostly, though, I need help organizing my thoughts. Too often, I let them roam aimlessly in my head, banging into each other like bumper cars…tossing me in different directions with each hit. One thing I do know is that if I write stuff down, it allows me to face them head on. From there, my favorite way to organize them is to do a mind map…which then makes it easier to focus on one area at a time.

With that said, today’s MotD encourages us, as we get ready to close out the year and begin a new one, to take time out for ourselves to acknowledge our accomplishments this year, and map out (and organize) where we want to go in 2025. And if planning for a year seems like too much, then just focus in smaller groups of time (6 months, 4 months, 3 months, 1 month)…whatever eases the pain of being dis-organized. Above all, I recommend keeping it simple, sweetheart.

How about you? Is organize a core value for you?

BTW…here’s what it looked like to begin with …

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day

Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
