MotD 24-355 Excitement — after. textured background with colors of varying shades of green, terra cotta, gold, and white. on top in black ink is an outline of a circle over a white-ish background blob. Around the circle are two rows of arched petals also over white blobs in the background. From there, black lines outline different colors areas in the background…all of which radiate around the main white mandala giving off the energy of excitement.

Excitement

“a feeling of great enthusiasm and eagerness”

This time of year, children who are aware of and participate in this event called Christmas demonstrate for all of us what excitement looks like. We’re encouraged to learn from children so as to remind ourselves about what excitement feels like. Then look at our own lives. Where do we experience that same kind of excitement? Or probably, more likely, where would we WANT or LIKE to experience that kind of enthusiasm and eagerness?

Our job should we accept it is to allow ourselves to be excited about what we do or what we’re wanting to do. Personally, I have a couple of projects that have me eager to make them happen. Our challenge becomes keeping that excitement alive throughout the process and not wait until it’s finished to be excited about it. Celebrate each milestone along the way in eager anticipation for the next exciting phase.

How about you? Is excitement a core value for you?

BTW…here’s what it looked like to begin with …

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day

Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
