Imagination

“the ability of the mind to be creative or resourceful”

We’re being encouraged to use our imagination…to allow ourselves to imagine all sorts of amazing places, people, things, and adventures. Why? Because our minds are more powerful than we give it credit. If we can imagine it, we can create in some way, shape, or form. It’s the key to manifesting whatever we want to create for ourselves.

My favorite example of this is when I needed to go to our local Social Security office. Initially I dreaded it…everyone was telling me “oh you’re going to be there all day” or “make sure you get there before it opens…otherwise you may not get to see anyone because of the long lines”.

So, that morning I set an intention as to how I wanted to feel as I’m leaving the SS office to return home. I imagined that I’d be walking out of their office by 10 am (they open at 9) with a smile on my face because the issue was easily resolved. I let go of focusing on the details of how my issue was going to be resolved…I just focused on how I wanted to feel afterwards.

Here’s what happened…I arrived at 8:30. Four people were already waiting at the door to get in. Long story short and miracles of miracles, by 9:30 I was walking out the door with a smile on my face because the issue had been easily resolved…just as I imagined it.

Anyone can do this: set an intention as to how you want to feel AFTER you’re done with whatever…then imagine yourself feeling it and imagine how it looks. Practice with easier stuff first, then build up to something like having to go to the SS office (or worse). 😁
