A Little Push
This week’s theme explores the power of action as part of our healing journey. Sometimes in order to move forward we need a little push, a gentle nudge. Maybe it’s too much to overcome 50 years of fear in one day. Maybe a gentle push for us would be to allow ourselves to be in that space of fear for a moment and imagine, for just a minute or two, what our life would be like free of that fear.
Or maybe we can find a friend, family member, or partner who would agree to be our accountability buddy. One that will give us the little push we need to take the next baby step (see last two posts). And we can be theirs for whatever fear they’re processing.
We can also adopt a mindset change where the “little push” is us saying to ourselves: “even though it scares me to send that email, write that blog post, apply for that job, etc, I’m going to do it anyway.”
We can also change our perspective on the fear. It’s been shown that fear and excitement are similar emotions that trigger the same physiological response in the body, but the difference is how the mind interprets the experience. So instead of saying “I’m scared to send this email”…we say to ourselves: “I’m excited to send this email.” Simple…yet powerful.
For me, a “little push” I like to use is telling myself “I can’t stand to have “this” hanging over my head anymore. I’m just going to do it and get it over with”…with a little dash of “I’m also excited to do ‘this’!”
How about you? What’s a little push that helps you move a step forward? An accountability buddy? A mindset change? A perspective change?
BTW…Here’s the before…the front and back view of today’s puzzle piece and the pretty ceramic box that holds all my numbers from which I randomly choose each day’s puzzle piece number:

ABOUT THE 2025 Mandalas of the Day
Throughout the year, I’ll be building one large (48”x48”) Tibetan-styled Mandala one piece at a time…one puzzle piece at a time, that is. The mandala design and the reversed puzzle side were printed on artist-quality watercolor paper. The forward facing puzzle side was printed on a 48”x48” wood panel.
Each day, at random, I’ll be painting in watercolors one of the 365 watercolor puzzle pieces, that by the end of the year will become Archangel Mandala #4. Read more about the Archangel Series. The word/message for each piece will be inspired by Melody Beattie’s book “52 Weeks of Conscious Contact”.
Ultimately, the message of this mandala is about how we are all uniquely part of the one.
