Is It Me?
This week we focus on how “Crazy People Make Us Crazy”. Today’s MotD gently reminds us that sometimes the “crazy person” is us. And when that happens, when we ask ourselves “is it me?” and discover it is, that’s when we need to stop and detach in that moment…in whatever way feels possible for us.
It could be that all we need do is close our eyes, put a hand over our heart, and take a few deep conscious breaths. Or we can take a moment to count to ten. Or we can stop right where we are and say five things we see, four things we hear, three things we feel, two things we smell, and one thing we taste (or any variation of those senses and counting).
Or it could be that we actually have to physically walk (or run) away from the person or situation that’s triggering us in that moment. We’re reminded that in order to move forward, sometimes we need to get away—to clear our heads, get our bearings, ground ourselves, and re-connect with our inner sanity. From THAT space, we can better determine how best to move forward or at the very least determine how best to be return to neutral.
For me, physically stopping what I’m doing works best because it brings me front and center to myself. It puts my whole self back in charge, allowing me to ask questions like “what needs to happen in this moment”?
How about you? Do you sometimes notice that the “crazy person” is you? That’s great because awareness is 50% of the process. Once you know this, you can better know how best to bring yourself to sanity…otherwise you’re just stuck in the muck of it.
BTW…Here’s the before…the front and back view of today’s puzzle piece and the pretty ceramic box that holds all my numbers from which I randomly choose each day’s puzzle piece number:

ABOUT THE 2025 Mandalas of the Day
Throughout the year, I’ll be building one large (48”x48”) Tibetan-styled Mandala one piece at a time…one puzzle piece at a time, that is. The mandala design and the reversed puzzle side were printed on artist-quality watercolor paper. The forward facing puzzle side was printed on a 48”x48” wood panel.
Each day, at random, I’ll be painting in watercolors one of the 365 watercolor puzzle pieces, that by the end of the year will become Archangel Mandala #4. Read more about the Archangel Series. The word/message for each piece will be inspired by Melody Beattie’s book “52 Weeks of Conscious Contact”.
Ultimately, the message of this mandala is about how we are all uniquely part of the one.
