Are We Moving Too Quickly
This week we focus on the value of “Patience”. Today’s MotD asks us to consider that sometimes what looks like the Universe and everyone else moving too slowly, may instead be that we are moving too quickly. Again…consider it as a possibility.
I’m sure I shared this story in a much older post and yet it warrants being told again here. My husband and I agreed that we wanted to move to Oregon. We’d been in Florida for at least 10 years. We also agreed that we wanted to sell our condo before we moved. And because of that it took five years before we sold it. Talk about needing to be patient.
BUT about 2.5 years into this five-year wait, I wrote a note to my dreaming self asking: I know we’re supposed to move to Oregon…why is it taking so long? I put the note under my pillow. That night I had a dream that we were stuck in a beautiful airport. The tarmac was empty of any planes, none coming in or going out, with all of us potential passengers lounging around the boarding gates. Realizing that when the planes do start flying again, they’ll be a mad dash to the ticket agent to book flights. I figured I would be efficient and book a flight now rather than deal with the rush. The ticket agent said “Until the planes are flying again, it’s impossible to book any flights. BUT when they do, you should make sure to line up here ASAP. For now, though just enjoy yourself where you are.” Considering how some airports lack are sub-standard, we were lucky to be where we were.
I woke from the dream with a clearer understanding of our situation: things are not in place yet to make a move and that we should just enjoy ourselves where we are. My astrologer at that time also told me that in order to be ready to move quickly when the time arises, we should pack up all our inessentials and put them in storage NOW. Excellent advice. Because as it turns out, when the eventual buyers wanted to close on the sale, they wanted to move quickly. We were packed up and ready to head to Oregon with a few short days.
Essentially, the message here is that sometimes things are not in place behind the scenes (beyond our viewpoint) which means it’s a situation where there’s not much we can do so we might as well make the most of where we are.
How about you? Do you find yourself trying to make things happen too quickly only to meet up with resistance and frustration? Would you consider that maybe you need to slow down? Would you also consider the mindset that in the meantim being present where you are instead of where you want to be?
BTW…Here’s the before…the front and back view of today’s puzzle piece and the pretty ceramic box that holds all my numbers from which I randomly choose each day’s puzzle piece number:

ABOUT THE 2025 Mandalas of the Day
Throughout the year, I’ll be building one large (48”x48”) Tibetan-styled Mandala one piece at a time…one puzzle piece at a time, that is. The mandala design and the reversed puzzle side were printed on artist-quality watercolor paper. The forward facing puzzle side was printed on a 48”x48” wood panel.
Each day, at random, I’ll be painting in watercolors one of the 365 watercolor puzzle pieces, that by the end of the year will become Archangel Mandala #4. Read more about the Archangel Series. The word/message for each piece will be inspired by Melody Beattie’s book “52 Weeks of Conscious Contact”.
Ultimately, the message of this mandala is about how we are all uniquely part of the one.
