Clarity

Our focus this week — Aug 6-12: “Wait and See”

Today’s MotD: Clarity. We start a new week with the focus on waiting to seeing…and in this case, today, we’re waiting for clarity. Sometimes, especially when we’re unsure about a situation or person, the best thing we can do is to wait and see how it plays out. This requires some patience…probably one our of biggest challenges, especially in this “got to have it right now” society.

But with patience, we often gain clarity—one way or another. So rather than jump to conclusions, and deciding immediately whether something is good or bad, we are encouraged to allow things to just be…to treat it as just a fact for right now.

For instance, when we lived in Florida our second-floor condo was hit by a huge tropical storm, I think its name was George. Water came in through the frames of the windows and damaged the walls and the carpet. At the time we were frantic about it. But over the next few weeks, dealing patiently with our condo association and our insurance, the windows and walls were repaired/painted and all new carpeting was installed throughout. In the end, it turned out to be a blessing…especially since before the storm, our carpeting was this ugly green shag.

How about you ? In what area of your life could you use a little clarity ? Are you open to a “wait and see” mindset ? And how are you with being patient ?

BTW…Here’s the before…the front and back view of today’s puzzle piece and the pretty ceramic box that holds all my numbers from which I randomly choose each day’s puzzle piece number:

ABOUT THE 2025 Mandalas of the Day

Throughout the year, I’ll be building one large (48”x48”) Tibetan-styled Mandala one piece at a time…one puzzle piece at a time, that is. The mandala design and the reversed puzzle side were printed on artist-quality watercolor paper. The forward facing puzzle side was printed on a 48”x48” wood panel.

Each day, at random, I’ll be painting in watercolors one of the 365 watercolor puzzle pieces, that by the end of the year will become Archangel Mandala #4. Read more about the Archangel Series. The word/message for each piece will be inspired by Melody Beattie’s book “52 Weeks of Conscious Contact”.

Ultimately, the message of this mandala is about how we are all uniquely part of the one.
