A Fine Line
Our focus this week — Oct 29-Nov 4: “Humility”
Today’s MotD: A Fine Line. There’s a fine line between being humble and being prideful. We’re encouraged to ride the line like a top surfer rides the most spectacular waves of the world: with grace, strength, and humility. If a surfer gets too cocky, the waves will most surely knock them down—one way or another. But a surfer who knows their abilities, shows some patience, and respects the power and majesty of the waves with humility, well, they get the ride of their lives.
Our challenge with humility is not to deny ourselves of being rightfully proud of ourselves for fear of appearing to be braggadocio. The difference here is that pride is about self-acknowledgment, whereas bragging tends to be more about showing off.
We’re encouraged to allow ourselves (to give ourselves permission) to “self-acknowledge” while doing so with grace and humbleness.
How about you ? Do you allow yourself to self-acknowledge your achievements ? Do you let the fear of looking like a braggart keep you from being proud of yourself ? Do you give yourself permission to humbly accept praise when you’ve rightfully earned it ?
BTW…Here’s the before…the front and back view of today’s puzzle piece and the pretty ceramic box that holds all my numbers from which I randomly choose each day’s puzzle piece number:

ABOUT THE 2025 Mandalas of the Day
Throughout the year, I’ll be building one large (48”x48”) Tibetan-styled Mandala one piece at a time…one puzzle piece at a time, that is. The mandala design and the reversed puzzle side were printed on artist-quality watercolor paper. The forward facing puzzle side was printed on a 48”x48” wood panel.
Each day, at random, I’ll be painting in watercolors one of the 365 watercolor puzzle pieces, that by the end of the year will become Archangel Mandala #4. Read more about the Archangel Series. The word/message for each piece will be inspired by Melody Beattie’s book “52 Weeks of Conscious Contact”.
Ultimately, the message of this mandala is about how we are all uniquely part of the one.
