Give With a Blessing

Our focus this week — Nov 12-Nov 18: “Generosity”

Today’s MotD: Give With a Blessing. When being generous we’re also encouraged to do so with a blessing and a smile…even if it might hurt a little. Giving of ourselves begrudgingly deflates some of the good juju/karma that could have been ours to experience. It we struggle with being graciously generous, it would behoove us to explore what’s going on there deep beneath the surface. Chances are it’s some limiting belief based on lack or “not enough-ness”.

If the giving happens to hurt a little or cause an uncomfortable twinge, we might ease some of that if we include some version of the loving-kindness blessing/prayer either aloud or silently toward the receiver of our generosity. Here a version I like:

May you be well
May you be happy
May you be free from suffering
May you be at ease
May you be safe

How about you ? When you are being generous with someone do you sometimes do so begrudgingly? Are you open to being generous with a blessing and a smile ? What mindset would have to change in order for you to be graciously generous ?

BTW…Here’s the before…the front and back view of today’s puzzle piece and the pretty ceramic box that holds all my numbers from which I randomly choose each day’s puzzle piece number:

Peace & Blessings,

ABOUT THE 2025 Mandalas of the Day

Throughout the year, I’ll be building one large (48”x48”) Tibetan-styled Mandala one piece at a time…one puzzle piece at a time, that is. The mandala design and the reversed puzzle side were printed on artist-quality watercolor paper. The forward facing puzzle side was printed on a 48”x48” wood panel.

Each day, at random, I’ll be painting in watercolors one of the 365 watercolor puzzle pieces, that by the end of the year will become Archangel Mandala #4. Read more about the Archangel Series. The word/message for each piece will be inspired by Melody Beattie’s book “52 Weeks of Conscious Contact”.

Ultimately, the message of this mandala is about how we are all uniquely part of the one.
