I Will
Our focus this week — Nov 19-Nov 25: “Commitment”
Today’s MotD: I Will. Saying “I will” is a commitment and thus a powerful statement to make that’s best to not be made lightly. Even with the smallest of tasks. For instance if we say “I’ll take out the trash”, it’s accepted and expected by the person we said it to and is understood that it will be taken care of by us. If we don’t follow through, we lose the other person’s trust, creating disappointment, frustration, and possibly anger…especially if we’ve done this type of thing before.
By following through on our “I Will”s, we gain an important and valuable commodity: trust. As we continue to follow through, our trustworthiness and accountability improves…with others and ourselves. That’s why it behooves us to be honest with our “I Will”s, to consciously assess our ability, capability, and availability to follow through before making that commitment…it’s for the greater good of all…including (maybe, especially) ourselves.
Writing this today is making me embarrassingly aware of how many projects I’ve started and have yet to finish…or worse, projects I said “I will” do and haven’t even started. Before the start of the new year, I will inventory all of them and assess my level of commitment (if any) to doing these projects, so that I go into 2026 with commitments I can honestly and willingly do.
How about you ? Are there tasks, goals, or projects that you’ve started but have yet to finish ? Are there commitments you’ve made (to yourself or others), that you have yet to start ? Are you willing to take the time to determine which ones you can honestly do and which ones you can release ?
BTW…Here’s the before…the front and back view of today’s puzzle piece and the pretty ceramic box that holds all my numbers from which I randomly choose each day’s puzzle piece number:

ABOUT THE 2025 Mandalas of the Day
Throughout the year, I’ll be building one large (48”x48”) Tibetan-styled Mandala one piece at a time…one puzzle piece at a time, that is. The mandala design and the reversed puzzle side were printed on artist-quality watercolor paper. The forward facing puzzle side was printed on a 48”x48” wood panel.
Each day, at random, I’ll be painting in watercolors one of the 365 watercolor puzzle pieces, that by the end of the year will become Archangel Mandala #4. Read more about the Archangel Series. The word/message for each piece will be inspired by Melody Beattie’s book “52 Weeks of Conscious Contact”.
Ultimately, the message of this mandala is about how we are all uniquely part of the one.
