Message
From the Lesson:
“You will probably find this idea very difficult to grasp at this point. ²You may find it silly, irreverent, senseless, funny and even objectionable. [and that’s okay] ³Certainly God is not in a table, for example, as you see it. ⁴Yet we emphasized yesterday that a table shares the purpose of the universe. ⁵And what shares the purpose of the universe shares the purpose of its Creator.” (ACIM, W-29.2:1-5)
It further states:
“Try then, today, to begin to learn how to look on all things with love, appreciation and open-mindedness. ²You do not see them now. ³Would you know what is in them? ⁴Nothing is as it appears to you. ⁵Its holy purpose stands beyond your little range. ⁶When vision has shown you the holiness that lights up the world, you will understand today’s idea perfectly.⁷And you will not understand how you could ever have found it difficult.” (ACIM, W-29.3:1-7)
For me the operative words here are “love, appreciation, and open-mindedness”. So as I do the practice sessions today, I’ll apply the idea in a way that feels more aligned with how I understand the intention of the message: “Love is in everything I see.”
In essence, what we’re aiming for with this lesson is to begin the journey of recognizing that if Love is everywhere, then nothing is random, nothing is separate, and nothing is as fear would have us believe it is.
