Lesson 037: ”My holiness blesses the world.”

Suggested Practice:
Four, three-five minute practices are recommended along with shorter ones throughout the day. In the longer session start with repeating today’s idea (or whatever variation resonates with you). Alternate within each longer between doing the practice internally and externally.
Externally, apply the idea while looking about you.
My holiness [Light, love, joy, essence, etc] blesses this chair.
My holiness [peace] blesses this window.
My holiness [divine energy] blesses this body.
Internally, close your eyes and apply the idea to any person that comes to mind, including their name.
My holiness [Light] blesses you, [name]
Complete each session by stating their idea with your eyes closed, then open your eyes and repeat it again.
For the shorter sessions, repeat the idea as often as you can. It’s considered particularly helpful to silently apply the idea to anyone you meet, using their name to do so. It’s especially beneficial to use this if anyone seems to cause an adverse reaction in you.

Today’s Lesson starts in a profound way:
“This idea contains the first glimmerings of your true function in the world, or why you are here.
²Your purpose is to see the world through your own holiness.
³Thus are you and the world blessed together.
⁴No one loses; nothing is taken away from anyone; everyone gains through your holy vision.
⁵It signifies the end of sacrifice because it offers everyone his full due.” (ACIM, W-37.1:1-5)
It’s basically telling us that our existence in this world is meant to be a win-win for all, without any need for anyone to sacrifice anything. Truly a lofty ideal, one that for me, at this time, seems nearly impossible to attain collectively. That’s why The Course focuses it lessons internally, at the individual level.
We’re reminded that the world doesn’t evolve upward; it dissolves as our perception is healed.
When we recognize our holiness—our Light—and allow that recognition to extend to everyone, we begin to understand that our “holiness is the salvation of the world.”
I’ll conclude with this powerful statement from the Lesson:
“Your holiness [Light] is the salvation of the world.
²It lets you teach the world that it is one with you, not by preaching to it, not by telling it anything, but merely by your quiet recognition that in your holiness [Light] are all things blessed along with you.”(ACIM, W-37.3:1-2)
