Lesson 043: ”God is my Source. I cannot see apart from Him.”
AI Reframe: True perception arises from inner connection, not separation.
Suggested Practice:
Three five-minute practice periods are required today (their words), one as early as possible, one as late as possible, and one at whatever suitable time works for you. At the beginning, repeat today’s idea (or your variation of it) slowly to yourself with eyes open, for a short part of the time applying the idea to what you indiscriminately see. As in:
God is my source. I cannot see this desk apart from Him.
Love is my source. I cannot see that picture apart from It.
Then close your eyes and let whatever relevant thoughts occur to you, add to the idea in your own personal way. As in (their examples):
I see through the eyes of forgiveness.
I see the world as blessed.
The World can show me myself.
I see my own thoughts, which are like God’s (Love, Light, Joy, Peace, etc).
For shorter periods throughout the day as is or apply it to people that you meet, and/or circumstances and situations, as in:
Infinite Wisdom is my Source. I cannot see this (situation, circumstance) apart from It.
Divine Intelligence is my Source. I cannot see (you, this person, them) apart from I.

I’ll admit the wording in this lesson pushed a personal button or two and stretched my way of thinking. I had to read it a few times before it even began to sink in. It’s like it was explaining calculus when I can barely add and subtract.
My sense is that God—Universe, Light, The All That Is, Bob, Jane, Dude—is pure Knowledge. All-knowing. All-aware. It has no need for perception…in fact, perception isn’t part of that Reality at all. Perception belongs to the human experience, to the mind that believes it is separate.
And because we experience through perception, that makes connection to Knowledge feel…complicated.
Enter the Holy Spirit.
Not as a cosmic afterthought, but as the built-in Answer — the Mediator between our perception and Knowledge. The Holy Spirit translates what we see through the lens of separation into something that gently leads us back toward Truth.
Our ideal state isn’t striving harder or perceiving better. It’s remembering. Remembering that Divine Light is our Source and that Knowledge — not perception — is what is ultimately real.
So when we talked about the Voice in previous lessons, this is what we’re talking about. The Holy Spirit (or as Pam Grout affectionately calls it, the Holy S) is that quiet Interpreter. The bridge. The reminder.
Essentially, this lesson reassures us that we’re not navigating this perceptual maze alone. We have Help. A Holy Resource guiding our Vision.
And if the concepts feel slippery or abstract? That’s okay. This is one of those lessons where understanding isn’t demanded — willingness is. We’re invited to trust that something in us already knows the way.
“Secondly, I replace the word God…with one of my trusty synonyms. Next I turn my day over to the Holy S (aka the Voice).”
