Lesson 058: ”Review of Lessons 36-40.”
AI Reframe: My true nature expresses clarity, support, and peace.
Suggested Practice:
Begin the day by reading the five ideas with their comments included.
For the remainder of the day, do two-minute practices as often as possible focusing on the ideas and comments that resonate for you in the particular practice session.
”After you have read the idea and the related comments, the exercises should be done with your eyes closed and when you are alone in a quiet place, if possible.”
”This is emphasized for practice periods at your stage of learning. ²It will be necessary, however, that you learn to require no special settings in which to apply what you have learned. ³You will need your learning most in situations that appear to be upsetting, rather than in those that already seem to be calm and quiet. ⁴The purpose of your learning is to enable you to bring the quiet with you, and to heal distress and turmoil.”

Message
The five review ideas focus on identity—who we truly are—and how that shapes our experience of life.
My holiness envelops everything I see.
My holiness blesses the world.
There is nothing my holiness cannot do.
My holiness is my salvation.
I am blessed as a Son of God.
This review is a bit challenging to wrap my head around. Intellectually, I understand the message. When I operate from a place of Divinity from within, anything is possible—including my salvation.
Where I get hung up on is the use of the word holiness. In my religious upbringing, the term “holy” applied to God, angels, saints, the pope, and the hierarchy of priests and nuns. We were indoctrinated to believe we were born sinners—and would continue to be sinners—which meant we were required to go to confession regularly, confessing our sins to a priest.
As a kid in Catholic school, it was expected that we confess every week. I remember feeling like I had to make stuff up so that I would have something to confess. Then at the next confession, I could confess that I lied at my last confession. Anyone see the insanity in all of this? Anyone? Anyone?
But I digress. In order for me to truly grasp and embrace today’s lesson, I needed to change the wording—from “holiness” to “Light”. The word “holiness” still carries the weight of hierarchy and judgment for me. “Light,” on the other hand, feels alive, ever-present, and flowing through me.
My Light envelops everything I see.
My Light blesses the world.
There is nothing my Light cannot do.
My Light is my salvation.
I am blessed as an expression of Love and Light.
With this wording, I get it. When I remember—when I align with—my Light, my Divinity, I feel empowered, fearless, and capable. My shining Light envelops everything I see and do. It blesses the world because I see the world through that lens. It’s my salvation because I’m free of fear’s burden. For that, I am truly blessed.
I look forward to the day I can live this lesson more consistently. Maybe “holiness” and “Light” are pointing to the same reality. For now, I’ll use the word that opens my heart instead of closes it.
“As I release false ideas about myself, I recognize it is impossible to suffer loss or deprivation or pain.”
