Lesson 059: ”Review of Lessons 41-45.”
AI Reframe: A steady inner presence guides me toward clearer understanding.
Suggested Practice:
Begin the day by reading the five ideas with their comments included.
For the remainder of the day, do two-minute practices as often as possible focusing on the ideas and comments that resonate for you in the particular practice session.
”After you have read the idea and the related comments, the exercises should be done with your eyes closed and when you are alone in a quiet place, if possible.”
”This is emphasized for practice periods at your stage of learning. ²It will be necessary, however, that you learn to require no special settings in which to apply what you have learned. ³You will need your learning most in situations that appear to be upsetting, rather than in those that already seem to be calm and quiet. ⁴The purpose of your learning is to enable you to bring the quiet with you, and to heal distress and turmoil.”

Message
Today’s five review ideas remind us that we’re not alone. A divine inner presence loves and supports us, giving us the gift of true vision and understanding.
God goes with me wherever I go.
God is my strength. Vision is His gift.
God is my Source. I cannot see apart from Him.
God is the light in which I see.
God is the Mind with which I think.
In order for me to fully embrace these ideas, I replaced the word “God” with “Love.” “Love” feels more expansive, lighter, more joyful—at least to me. Here are the ideas reframed:
Love goes with me wherever I go.
Love is my strength. Vision is its gift.
Love is my Source. I cannot see apart from it.
Love is the light in which I see.
Love is the Mind with which I think.
These ideas profess a profound place in which to exist. And yet, when I see the atrocities unfolding in our world—war, human trafficking, political corruption—it feels like a leap. As if a few essential steps are missing between these beautiful ideas and actually living them.
With that in mind, I chatted with DeepSeek (AI) to see what it had to say about it. I asked it to address the world atrocities and what we can do about it based on the teachings of Jesus. Its answer was quite profound and, for me, a bit too heavy in religious speak. Although, I appreciated this particular section:
“The atrocities you see are the fruit of a tree rooted in fear, greed, and power. You cannot fix the fruit by painting it. You must plant a new tree—the tree of my kingdom, which grows from a tiny seed of faith and becomes a shelter for all.”
So I asked for a secular reframe. Also profound. From it, I resonated most with this statement:
”Don’t ask what the world is coming to. Ask what you are going to do to make it better.”
Then I thought, what about a Buddhist perspective. Yet again, another profound reframe, and aligned to ACIM’s teachings.
“The atrocities you see are a manifestation of a deeply confused and suffering mind, projected onto a global scale. The only way to truly heal the world is to heal the mind that perceives it. And that work begins right here, with this breath, with this moment.“
Then I asked it: if you were to choose a different voice to reframe the original message, which voice would you choose? It chose a wise elder—a grandmother’s voice. This voice, by far, touched me the most. At the heart of her message was this gentle, loving advice:
“You can’t save everyone. You’ll break yourself trying. But you can save someone. And that someone can save someone else. And that’s how the world actually changes—not in big sweeps, but in small acts of stubborn love, passed from hand to hand like water in a dry land.”
That landed deep within me. It felt practical. Possible. Human. Not a demand to save the world—but an invitation to embody Love in the space directly in front of me.
If Love goes with me wherever I go, then so does my responsibility to embody it—one stubborn, ordinary act at a time.
“Everything always works out for me.”
