Along with the joy of finding and sharing all these amazing mandalas with you, I also experience a delightful side effect: I gain fascinating insights about people and what they do creatively…from people I know, people I know of, and people new to me.
Today’s mandala comes from Alicia Caticha who captured this photo of the Palais Garnier ceiling (ie: The Paris Opera House) where Marc Chagall painted and gifted this beautiful work of mural art. [this is one of those news-to-me insights]
The Paris Opera unveils a stunning new ceiling painted as a gift by Belorussian-born artist Marc Chagall, who spent much of his life in France. The ceiling was typical of Chagall’s masterpieces—childlike in its apparent simplicity yet luminous with color and evocative of the world of dreams and the subconscious. www.History.com September 23, 1964
I look forward to the day when I have the opportunity to paint a mandala mural. Anyone have a blank wall I can permanently borrow?
Happy Coloring!
