I’m very happy and proud about showcasing today’s beautiful MOTD.

Artist, Tarquin Singh, applied this spectacular mandala onto this woman’s crown using henna. Tarquin is one of the original members of the Toronto Henna Heals organization. I love how she and other henna artists found such an amazing, creative, and thoughtful way to turn what may seem like a devastating experience into an exquisite work of heart (intended spelling).

From Tarquin’s “about” page:

I love that the practice of henna allows me to connect with new people, and that I get to share with them the magical and celebratory nature of this magnificent art form.

About Henna Heals from their site:

Henna Heals was created to raise awareness of “henna crowns”, a temporary, safe and all-natural form of body-art for people experiencing hair loss. The organization was founded in 2011 as a small henna company based in Toronto, Canada, and has grown into an international referral organization of over 250 independent henna artists.

You can view more of Tarquin’s beautiful henna crowns on her web site.

Visit Henna Heal’s Gallery page to view other stunning henna crowns by other henna artists.

Happy Coloring!
