What a delightful phenomenon. Colin Leonhardt of Birdseye View Photography captured this image in 2013 which was then showcased on NASA’s Astronomy Photo of the Day site on September 30, 2014.
Full rainbows such as these can only be seen while up in the air. How spectacular that Colin captured TWO rainbows in this photo instead of just one. The fact that the background (Cottesloe Beach near Perth, Australia) is beautiful as well is an added bonus.
My only question would be…where’s the pot of gold?
