Sarah_Z, who maintains the Pieces of My Life site, posted this delightful photo of the Umbrella Pathway in the Dubai Miracle Garden in her blog post: Miracle Garden.
On her about.me page, Sarah_Z says she strives to be “A letter-writing polyglot photographer who travels the world with a pocket sketchbook.” I love it. Judging by her photographs and blog posts, I’d say she’s doing it. Sarah is also a contributing poster to the Life In Minutes blog site.
To see this pathway in context, I found this photo on the Under a Tree blog site:

Along with all the colorful umbrellas being mandalas, the whole garden itself is shaped as a mandala:

This whimsical way they repurposed an umbrella, an object I imagine they rarely use in Dubai for its intended purpose, sparks my curiosity about letting go of my preconceived ideas about things and explore their other possibilities.
Must visit this garden someday…in winter. 🙂
Happy Coloring!
If you would like your mandala to be considered for the “Mandala of the Day”, read how on the Participate page. It’s easy! Or recommend one you’ve seen via my Contact page.
Wow… thank you so much for that introduction ^^ Everything’s coming along I guess except the pocket sketchbook bit 🙂
Winter is a great time to visit Miracle Garden and the good news is they’ve also opened up the Butterfly Garden! I can’t wait to go 🙂
